If you could only hear my voice, you’d know that I am not a Seattle native. As the days start getting longer, I long to be sitting on the porch in my childhood home on Beaver Island overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. It had all of the things that make a porch a refuge —inviting design, cozy furniture, fragrant plantings and smooth clean flooring. Shedding Stuff

I’m in a cleaning frenzy. Well, if truth be told my better half is the inspiration behind my sudden burst of organizational endeavors. I can get lost for hours in the cool tool-strewn depths of my garage organizing, cleaning and moving things from one spot to another. Inevitably, lawn mowers, blowers and garden tools get in the way of kayaks, bikes and skis. I’ve been given my marching orders; it’s time to clean up my act and to shed my gear.
